Chapter 9: Wedding Night (3)

The knot in his throat tightened slightly.　　

As he stared at her, Su Qiuzi saw a flicker of strangeness in his eyes. Strangers were normal, and although the two had just married, they had only seen each other three or four times in total.　　

Even though they felt strange to each other, they would meet every day by now.

Su Qiuzi looked at his loosened collar and took the initiative to start a conversation, “Do you want some water?”　　

“Huh?” The man muttered to her irresolutely, with a hint of hoarseness. He smiled at her, the corners of his lips raised, and his profile was more handsome and exquisite under the light.　　

“Yes, thank you.”　

Su Qiuzi turned to look for the kitchen. Her red clothing was very striking in this gray and white toned house. He Yu watched her move back and forth. Soon, the red figure disappeared. He closed his eyes slightly. When he opened then again, she stood in front of him, handing him some water.

He Yu took a sip of water. His hazy eyes gradually became clearer. When he closed the bottle, he looked at Su and asked, “Don’t you want to drink?　　

“I’m not thirsty.” Su Qiuzi replied.　　

He Yu nodded as he sat on one end of the sofa, gesturing to Su Qiuzi, “Sit down.”

Today, after standing for a whole day at the wedding, her calves were already sore. Su Qiuzi was not polite and sat down.The chandelier in the living room was very bright, illuminating both of them. The air was full of silence, and only the breaths of two people could be heard.　　

He Yu leaned back on the sofa. For the first time, he looked at his bride carefully. The little girl was very good-looking. She had an oval face, cherry lips, white skin, and was candid under the light. When she looked at him, her eyes did not shift, and her pair of brown eyes had a particular aura in them.　

He remembered the words she had said after he kissed her earlier. He Yu’s thin lips pursed slightly. 

They needed to sort out their relationship.

“Do you have any demands from me?” He Yu broke the silence, since Su Qiuzi was obviously waiting for him to speak. After he finished, she thought for a bit and said to him, “Yes. I haven’t finished college yet. The tuition was paid by my family before. After I married, I couldn’t reach out to ask for money from my family again, so the tuition is… “　　

He Yu nodded and said, “I will give you a card on time.”　　

Seeing him so accommodating, Su Qiuzi struck the iron while it was hot, “There are still living expenses…”　　

Unlike her expectations, He Yu smiled. He seemed a bit helpless and nodded, “All will be paid together. Is there anything else?”　

Within that smile of his, there was a kind of helpless and pampering sensuality, and Su Qiuzi’s mind was a bit confused for a moment. She thought about it for a while and, when nothing came to mind, only shook her head and said, “No more. So, what do you want from me?”

“Nothing.” He Yu answered.

When Su Qiuzi heard this, her eyes widened slightly and she lowered her head and said, “Uh huh.”

When she lowered her head, the bangs in her ears fell to her cheek as she lowered her head. Her head was slightly drooping, and her shoulder and neck line were thin, which made her look extremely petite.　　

He Yu raised his hand and tugged her hair behind her ears.　

The man’s fingers were warm and touched her cheek with a faint tingling sensation. Su Qiuzi’s heart shook slightly as she raised her eyes to look at him.

He Yu’s fingers did not stop. His fingertips had some thin calluses from the years of drawing. Slightly rough fingers gently caressed her cheek, and the woman’s beautiful eyes twitched, like a clear pool under a moonlit night.　　

The mood was suddenly ignited and the surroundings felt a little bit hot.　　

Su Qiuzi’s voice trembled as she looked at He Yu.　

“Wedding night?”　　

Hearing her question, the man’s eyes twinkled and he chuckled.

“Yes. Wedding night.”
