You Look Like You’re Made of Money: Chapter 33.1

After having lunch and resting at home the next day, Jiang Jingchuan took Su Yan to go to the airport. Since he was going to the island for vacation, he had already checked the temperature and weather condition. It turned out to be even hotter than City A.

Su Yan now also knew how to match clothes. Today, she was wearing a retro green dress, which highlighted her pale white skin. And topping it off were the sunglasses she had bought yesterday. A single look was enough for people to know that they were on vacation. Her clothing brought a refreshing feeling in this hot summer.

Since last night, Su Yan had been thrilled. This could not be blamed on her either. Strictly speaking, she had never traveled far in both her lives. Jiang Jingchuan saw her in high spirits and, when the driver was not paying attention, whispered in her ears, “If I knew you’d be so energetic, I wouldn’t have agreed to the trip.”

Jiang Jingchuan was not exaggerating since he had just tasted the beginning of the sweet life. Holding his wife every day, he always wanted to be intimate and lovey-dovey. Fortunately, he was a person who knew temperance. Thinking about the flight today, he lay in bed last night without doing anything. He had fallen asleep after a few kisses.

Su Yan immediately became irritated when she heard this. She pinched the soft flesh on his waist and gritted her teeth while saying in a low voice, “You are not allowed to say it!”

In fact, Su Yan didn’t really want to create a gentle and submissive impression of herself. Instead, occasionally throwing a temper would be a little more normal. Now with Jiang Jingchuan, she would pretend to be a bit more spoiled. It would keep their relationship spicy and act as a catalyst for feelings.

Jiang Jingchuan showed a contented smile. Ever since he had become acquainted with Su Yan, he seemed to have revealed his true colors, no longer hiding it.

Today was a working day, and it wasn’t the tourist season either. Hence, it was a smooth ride to the airport, taking them a little more than an hour to arrive.

Su Yan was standing at the airport. Being here for the first time, she found everything novel and extraordinary. Although she had seen it on TV before, she still felt it unusual and overwhelming, so she followed Jiang Jingchuan. After checking in, she went to the luggage section. Although there were many doubts in her heart, Su Yan resisted the urge to ask. The original body must have traveled on a plane before. Thus, such a ridiculous question was not good.

After passing the security check, Jiang Jingchuan held Su Yan’s hand and sat in the waiting lounge. There were not many people, but Su Yan’s phone rang as soon as she sat down.

She took out her mobile phone from her bag and looked at the caller ID, raised her eyebrows, and glanced at Jiang Jingchuan. “It’s Mr. Lu’s younger sister.”

Afterward, she picked it up. Before she could open her mouth, an excited voice sounded from the other side. “Sister Su! Do you remember me? I’m Jiaying, Lu Jiaying, Jingjing’s classmate.”

“I remember. I saved your number then. What’s the matter?” Su Yan actually kind of liked this innocent and lively little girl, who wore her heart on her sleeve. Few people disliked such a simple and naive person.

In the past, Su Yan’s classmates had evaluated Su Yan in this way: God must have used His heart when He created her.

Her face was without blemishes, and her skin was white. As for her figure, it was neither tall nor short, just the right height. Such a figure should be a big-breasted vase, but Su Yan was not just a pretty face. In fact, she had both the brain and beauty.

Still, the most notable was Su Yan’s soft voice. Even when scolding people, she sounded like a baby—gentle, tender, and kind. She would be reluctant to shout at others.

When Jiang Jingchuan listened to Su Yan talking on the phone, he only felt that loving her was not enough. Because of his mother’s excellent upbringing, Jiang Jingchuan had actually never fantasized about what his dream lover would be like.

Rather, he dreamed of books and formulas. Not to mention dreaming of girls, he barely even thought of them. After confirming their mutual feelings, he began to believe a sentence he had once read in a book in the library: There is someone for everyone in this world.

He now had firm faith that Su Yan was made for him.
