BHWFATP: Chapter 16

Chapter 16: Word To The Wise (2)

As soon as she entered, she noticed that all eyes were cast on her.

She didn’t know what was going on for a moment. Zhu Meng, who was sitting next to her, smiled at her.

Zhu Meng had been assigned as her mentor after she entered the TV station. The relationship between them was pretty good.

Zhu Meng asked Su Qiuzi, “Qiuzi, did you get married before you finished your senior year?”

“Qiuzi, did you get married before you finished your senior year?”

With that sentence being said, Su Qiuzi suddenly knew what had happened. She subconsciously glanced at Cai Jiayu, who was already red in the face and whispered apologies in her eyes. “I’m sorry, I just overheard that without your consent…”

Su Qiuzi retracted her gaze and answered Zhu Meng with a smile. “Yes, I got married some time ago.”

Now with just over a semester to go until graduation, any student who was competent enough had already made their plans early. Recently, the TV stations had just set recruitment targets. And there seemed to be a shortage of hosts.

In the professional world, married college students were slightly less competitive than general students. After all, when you got married, schedules would be more difficult to arrange for overtime. There were also other issues, such as giving birth and applying for childcare leave.

At first, Su Qiuzi also had no intention of hiding it, but hearing Cai Jiayu said so, she still felt a chill in her heart. The people who studied broadcasting and hosting were all sophisticated.

Cai Jiayu usually appeared to be an innocent little white rabbit, but when she struck, she did it with a vicious move.

There were both single and married people at the table, and the topic of conversation quickly became about post-marriage troubles. The reception lasted until 9:00 p.m. After the banquet, Su Qiuzi took a taxi back home.

After a busy day of work and another night of preparing hot pot, Su Qiuzi was physically and mentally exhausted. Arriving at the door, she pressed the code to open the door. As soon as the door opened, the light inside flooded out. Her originally weary spirit was slightly refreshed.

As Su Qiuzi’s eyes lifted, she saw a tall man standing in front of the kitchen.

He Yu should have just returned from work. He hadn’t changed out of his suit yet, only the lapels had been hooked open a bit.

He held a bottle of water in his hand. His facial features were clearly outlined by the light, and a pair of ink-colored eyes were staring at her.

In that instant, Su Qiuzi felt like an uninvited guest who broke into someone’s home without the owner’s consent.

She stood in the doorway, straightened her spine, looked at He Yu and pointed to herself, asking, “You still recognize me, right?”

Under the light, the man’s eyes were soft. He Yu lowered his eyes and smiled, looking up at her again and nodding. “Well, you are my wife.”

Su Qiuzi giggled.

That night, Su Qiuzi did her duty. Once it was over, there was an unspoiled charm in the room. She broke into a thin sweat, panting slightly to calm the tangle she’d just made. With eyes fixed on the dark ceiling and an undissipated tide still in her body, Su Qiuzi suddenly remembered that Guan Lin had said that she hadn’t even grown hair yet.

After the two were physically separated, they would each sleep on one side of the bed. Su Qiuzi listened to her husband’s long breaths as she lifted the covers and looked at her body. She felt that she was quite well developed.

“What’s the matter?” In the dark, He Yu asked. His voice after their routine had a mellow lilt, giving an indescribable sexiness to it.

Su Qiuzi’s scalp went numb as she listened to him speak. She hurriedly put the quilt down as she replied, “Nothing.”

The atmosphere fell into silence again, but soon, He Yu spoke again.

“What time will you be off tomorrow?
