Chapter 7: You’re right, Sanbao (2)

After changing into other clothes, Gu Yuanyuan went out of the fitting room. She was welcomed by the sight of Lin Shaosi, who was flipping through a magazine from too much boredom. This was the first time he brought a girl to a store just to buy her clothes. Also, he did not expect that his second brother would not go in with them, leaving him alone in this uncomfortable situation.

However, this uncomfortable feeling of his soon disappeared in an instant after he saw Gu Yuanyuan came out in her new clothes.

Compared to the horrible clothes she wore before, this current look of hers now was so pleasing to the eyes. Assessing this look with the eyes of a professional, Lin Shaosi gave this outfit a score of ninety.

“Okay.” Lin Shaosi simply nodded as he said, “Okay, next set.”

Gu Yuanyuan: “…”

“The lady is beautiful. Also, she has a good figure, so everything she wears will definitely look good on her.” The staff seized this opportunity to praise Gu Yaunyuan more. In such situations like this, it’s a good thing to please the woman as it would surely make the customer very satisfied.

At this point of time, Gu Yizhou came towards them with a medium-size box on his hand. He handed it over to Gu Yuanyuan and simply said, “Put it on.”

Then, he shifted his gaze at Lin Shaosi to ask him. “Are we going to eat out, or are we buying clothes?”

Gu Yizhou’s voice was faint, mild, and emotionless, yet it was still laced with a brotherly fondness in his tone.

Lin Shaosi was in loss for a moment at his brother. And without saying another word, he regretfully waved his hand in resignation and asked the staff to take the clothes back. He took out a card and merely said, “Wrapped up all the clothes she had tried out.”

“All right, sir.” The staff gladly took the card and carefully looked at it. Then on her mind, she thought, ‘Oh, it’s not a black card, not like the one I’ve seen from the TV dramas.’　

Originally, Gu Yuanyuan wanted to pay the clothes for herself, but she paused and glanced at the price tag. As she had initially thought, these clothes worth more than a thousand bucks, and realizing this, she silently swallowed back her impending words.

Looking at Sanbao again, if she would say no now and refused the kindness that he offered, she would only appear arrogant and rude in front of them.

Gu Yixhou brought over a shoebox. As Gu Yuanyuan was opening it, there she saw a beautiful pair of small flat leather boots— Pink.

Under the watchful eyes of the two brothers, Gu Yuanyuan had no choice but to give in and sit on a chair. She discarded the slippers that she previously wore and put on the small leather boots. It was not too big, nor too small for her as it just suited her perfectly.

‘Aww… My son is so sweet and so endearing…’ No. Wait a minute. How did Erbao know the actual size of the shoes she’s wearing? Even she, didn’t know it herself.

Was it because of their mother and child relationship?

“It was soft and very comfortable.” Gu Yuanyuan was deeply moved inside her heart after she received these gifts from her two sons. Right now, she really felt that she was genuinely a mother now. She was comforted and satisfied at the same time at her son’s filial piety. “The clothes are also beautiful. Thank you.”

When the time comes where she could already earn some money, she would surely buy lots of stuff for her sons. And she would also dress them up to the best of her abilities as the most splendid sons in the whole world.

“Let’s go.” Gu Yizhou, who was thanked by Gu Yuanyuan, still remained his aloof face and demeanor as he turned away and started to walk his way out.

“Now, you’re a lot more pleasing to the eyes.” Lin Shaosi said as his thoughts were somehow detached, so he quickly changed the topic. “My brother told me earlier that you looked a lot like our deceased mother. So you don’t need to thank me for this, instead thank you for having that face it.”

Gu Yuanyuan: = _ =

After he said those words, he didn’t pay attention to Gu Yuanyuan’s expression as he handsomely inserted his hands to his pocket and whispered something to his brother. “I never thought that she was this pretty when she was younger.”

Because of what Gu Yizhou said earlier, in Lin Shaosi’s mind, he automatically took the Gu Yuanyuan’s face into the image of his ‘Mom’ in a middle-aged version.

The restaurant that Lin Shaosi had chosen was a very high class one. When the three of them arrived at the said restaurant, the waiter immediately led them to the second floor’s private box.

The restaurant was big, spacious and very classy. On the first floor, there was a stage with a grand piano on it, and a beautiful woman was playing a wonderful song. Just as the song ended, the people inside the restaurant all applauded her with respect.

As the tune was very familiar, as well as the beautiful woman who’s playing it, Gu Yuanyuan somehow felt a sense of nostalgia. And as they climbed their way upstairs, she couldn’t help herself but kept staring at the other person.

“It was just an average play and an average looking woman. What’s there to look at?” Lin Shaosi shook his head as if mocking the woman. “If you wanted to look at the real talented people, then go look at that table over there. You see the man wearing a blue uniform? His clothing shows that he’s from the Special Forces, which only proves that he is the only one who has the real talent or skills here.”

“…” Gu Yuanyuan heeded his words and looked at the man rigidly sitting on a chair with a stern expression on his face.

Adjacent to him was a short-haired woman, about thirty years old, who was talking about something endlessly.

Lin Shaosi said with great interest, “This must be a blind date. As a part of Special Forces, he must have not known how to properly coax a woman or how to interact with them. Men like him were honest, very straightforward, and doesn’t even know how to smile. So I doubt that the woman would be interested in such a character.”
